As a team, we reached out to people of different nationalities by circulating a survey form. Each of us took an initiative to reach out to people of different nationalities by contacting our friends and families. After analyzing the results, we saw that we received quite a few responses from overseas countries such as India, Germany, Argentina, Belgium, Canada and Portugal to name a few. We observed that the majority of our responses came from people aged 19 to 25 with most of them ranking their respective countries as being extremely safe. Despite them living in a safe country, we noticed that about 67% of the people had felt uncomfortable by someone’s body language. According to them, having the knowledge of body language is crucial as it can help them distance themselves from dangerous situations, make them feel more safer, give them an idea about whether someone is being aggressive or passive and would also help them react better in a specific situation. Thus, many of the respondents felt that incorporating body language in schools’ curriculums would be extremely beneficial for children and help them tackle situations better in the outside world. Therefore, through this survey we learnt that a lot of people residing in different countries share our thoughts and feel the need to heighten awareness on body language amongst people of all age groups.
